2 flights, 1 electric foot massage and 36 hours later here I am at Mum's parents' house in Weobley, Herefordshire, UK!
The flight went smoothly and I was pleased to find personal TVs onboard to assist me in avoiding doing a certain Religion assignment that I need to hand in...
The few hours in Singapore airport were also relatively easy, with just one slight hiccup when I tried to walk into a private lounge for certain business and first class passengers and was asked to show my invitation card. Whoops! However, Singapore airport still stands as one of the best in my eyes due to a few very important features:
- Firstly, free foot and leg massages from special electric massage chairs! -A little strange at first but definitely a highlight!
- Free wifi
- The fancy Changi Airport pen given to me by an airport official for doing a survey about the airport!
The flight to London was horribly long and tedious, although I was lucky enough to score a seat with lots of extra legroom. After Qantas' comparatively good airline food and great entertainment, British airways was quite a disappointment. Anyway, enough of my whining because I'm on the other side of the world, enjoying delightful predictable British November drizzle but once again entirely taken by the place. As I sit typing this entry, I am looking out across my Grandma and Grampy's wintery garden through a bare, lichen-covered tree across to the church steeple and mistletoe-laden trees in the sheep paddock. Every time I visit England I fall in love all over again with the pretty countryside and the tradition and culture of the place.
My body clock is very confused, but I'm staying awake as much as possible through the day, and hope to go outside for a walk after lunch. Speaking of lunch, I'm really quite hungry and Grandma has just come to ask me to come down and eat. I hope that pictures will accompany this entry very soon.
p.s. A little bit of local (Hereford) lingo: yer ~ here
